使用済燃料の高密度貯蔵システム

Abstract

<P>PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To enhance storage density of spent fuel and to effectively utilize decay heat of the spent fuel. <P>SOLUTION: This storage system is equipped with a plurality of airtight containers 2 for storing therein the spent fuel 7, cooling tubes 3 placed in the airtight containers 2, respectively, groups of solid particles 4 put in the airtight containers 2 to conduct decay heat of the spent fuel 7 to the cooling tubes 3, a pump means for making a cooling fluid 5 forcibly flow through the cooling tubes 3, and a heat utilization system for utilizing heat energy conducted from the spent fuel 7 and possessed by the cooling fluid 5. <P>COPYRIGHT: (C)2006,JPO&NCIPI
【課題】 使用済燃料の貯蔵密度を向上し、且つ使用済燃料の崩壊熱を有効活用する。 【解決手段】 貯蔵システムは、使用済燃料7が収納される複数の密閉容器2と、密閉容器2内に設置される冷却管3と、密閉容器2内に充填され、使用済燃料7の崩壊熱を冷却管3に伝える固体粒子4の群と、冷却管3内で冷却流体5を強制流動させるポンプ手段と、使用済燃料7から伝えられた冷却流体5が有する熱エネルギを利用する熱利用システムを備えている。 【選択図】 図1
